I read the link regarding the ways Social Media is negative for you Mental Health and I do have to agree. It really does have an impact on self esteem. Most things we see on social media are not real life. We think that our lives should constantly be fun, we should always be happy and look amazing. People only put the good things online, use filter for pictures and are mostly totally fake. Do not try to keep up with everyone. The best thing to do is turn off all notifications for social media and better still, delete the apps and don't bother with them. If you’re like me you will have been super good all week with your nutrition only to let it all go at the weekend. If we let our guard down completely at the weekend we can end up undoing all the good work we have done in the week. I know we always say about an 80/20 split with healthy eating but what does that actually mean. It doesn’t mean eat well Monday - Friday afternoon and then go nuts Friday evening to Sunday. Here are my top tips to keep your progress moving forward: Stick to a healthy breakfast. High protein with good fats for example - scrambled eggs and salmon or avocado with grilled mushroom & tomatoes. The one thing I have noticed for myself and whilst working with my Cambridge Personal Training clients is that happiness and relaxation is key to being healthy and maintaining positive changes.
