The last two weeks have been celebratory and disheartening at the same time. I must start with the negative feelings so I can end my blog on a positive note!
When I say negative, it it only because I have remained the same weight for the past couple of weeks, however, i am aware after having sensible chats with Laura and various people about my thoughts on my food intake and the changes being made, that I need to be patient and honestly realistic about this being a long haul process. Yes I want to be a small (healthy) size, but the right perspective on things has again helped me to see that this is a bonus along with all the other many benefits I am reaping.

So on to the benefits… I’m still getting so many compliments on my hair and skin, I’m basking in it lol. I’ve noticed that my nails are not splitting as much and I do believe they are growing!!! ( I have never had length in my nails from them being so weak). I’m finding my taste has dramatically changed, the sweetness of carrots is just AMAZING…my new love is roasted carrots with rosemary and a drizzle of nut oil…nom nom…snack attack handled!!

I am currently 1 week smoke free, I’m on a 12 week programme with my GP, and i felt totally prepared to do this due to having cut most, if not all of my triggers out of my daily food, for example, a diet coke and a fag, a coffee and a fag, crisps a diet coke and a fag…you get my drift…its all about reaching for the fruit if I have a craving…which I am now used to doing when I want crisps…or a diet coke etc, out smarting those cravings lol.

All in all keeping in touch with Laura when I need to get focused has helped, perspective and encouragement, I feel great, and am learning how to be patient at the same time.

I sent Belle this information to help her understand why getting caught up in what the scales says is not good for us and is a misrepresentation of how well we are truly doing.

IMG_07737lbs, 7days £7 – as you are all aware I am a personal trainer and I would not ask any of my clients to try anything without doing it myself first. So I followed the Cambridge Bootcamps 7 days lose 7lbs for £7.

For me I can get quite busy being in and out the house a lot.  This was very nice to have something to follow and know what you are having for the week. I got everything in ready for the week and I have never felt so prepared and relaxed with thinking of meals to have each day.

Varied scrummy breakfast, lunch and dinner. Tasty meals, filling, nutritious, energy & mood booster.

I am a busy person and need lots of energy which I totally got from the 7 day meal plan. I am already very nutritious minded and eat very clean and well balanced meals. Even I lose track of how important it is to stop and enjoy your food. Mindfully eating your food is an enjoyable experience, you feel more satisfied and notice when you are full.

IMG_0178I feel brighter, lighter, I have lots of energy, I am happier, more relaxed, I have no bloating, my hunger is satisfied, I have no cravings. The meal plan gives you everything you need to get the most out of eating clean for the 7 days.

Even if you do think you eat well and do not eat to much I challenge you to give this a go. Some of us let bad habits come back in, are not having enough of certain food groups, are eating to much, not enough etc – clean eaters this is worth a go, trust me I am a very clean eater and it opened my eyes to the fact I was having more food then I needed and not enough of certain food groups, which then had a knock on effect on my energy and moods.

 

We all need a little wake up every now again to realise just how good we truly can feel. You think you feel good now, wait till you try this!!

IMG_0764I have carried on doing all my training with my clients, coaching Bootcamp, my own training with Crossfit Cambridgeshire and my personal training with Charlie wall.

I even completed a half marathon on the Sunday. Never felt stronger and my recovery has been brilliant. All the above factors have made that possible.

It is time to take control of your life and see nutrition, training with bootcamps and/or a personal trainer are a necessity for optimal health not a luxury

See there is the proof ladies ;) I have another beautiful lady from the Histon Bootcamp who told me that she has dropped 3 dress sizes since joining us a few months ago. It is the exercise and most importantly the nutrition that gets you the results you need.
