Cambridge Bootcamps at the London Olympic Stadium 2012

Wow what an amazing weekend we have had with Cambridge Bootcamps. Saturday 31st March we had a fantastic Easter Charity Bootcamp – lots of eggs (smashing), raw chocolate and clean hot cross buns. Everybody earned those treats with all the friendly competitive races ;) We raised £180 for Phabkids. They are the charity I am running the London Marathon 2012 for, so I am very grateful and pleased with everyone’s generosity.

Then on Sunday we got to go to the London Olympic Stadium and run on the track where Team GB will be winning medals by the bucket load!! We have been participating in the Olympic Gold Challenge raising money for Arthur Rank Hospice. By we I mean all of Cambridge Bootcamp Ladies, we have been recording our distances to accumulate 2012km (which we nailed back in Dec 2011), asking friends, family and work colleagues to kindly sponsor us. I know some of our ladies are taking it to the next level and getting people to sponsor them to hit that distance solely!

So yesterday 4 of us from Cambridge Bootcamps – our team name Rudders Rabble headed on to the track to compete in a 100m relay race. We were nervous, excited and proud to be there.  The racing was amazing, as was the whole day and experience. We had 4 ladies from Cambridge Bootcamps join the parade as well which was fantastic. It was a great day, it was all about getting people active and raising money for charity.

A big thank you to Katie Huane for putting our team together and making yesterday possible. Great to have Charlie Wall come and support us :) Well done to all our Cambridge Bootcamp ladies you are all so inspirational
